Deccan Birders is glad to invite you for a field trip to Yenkathala Grasslands, on 29-JUN-2025 (SUNDAY).
Yenkathala is a mixed forest with Shrubs, Grasslands, and a lake and is rich in Bird life. Some of the key birds to look out for are Harriers, Eagles, Black-headed Cuckooshrike, Chestnut-bellied Sandgrouse, Tree Pipit, Rain Quail, Jungle Bush-Quail, Rock Bush-Quail, Barred Buttonquail, Painted Francolin, Baya Weaver, etc.
Those interested in joining the trip may meet at
1. 5:30 am –> NMDC Bus-stop, Masab tank

If anyone would like to join, please meet us directly at either of the 2 given meeting points. We will wait for 5 minutes at both stops before proceeding further.
As it is a half-day trip, please bring breakfast and enough water to stay hydrated.
If you’re not a member with Deccan Birders, please register online (https://deccanbirders.org/membership/) or directly meet us at the location to enroll. Non-members would be requested to kindly contribute Rs. 100/- per head if they accompany the group. Your contribution will help society grow.
We shall also carry T-shirts and Caps for sale. Therefore, please carry adequate cash!. Also, subject to the availability of stocks.
